This notice explains how Melia & McIntosh Safety Consultants ("we", "us") uses the personal information you share with us through this website.
Who we are
Melia & McIntosh Safety Consultants is a health and safety consultancy based in Chester, Cheshire. We are responsible for (the "controller" of) the personal information described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at enquiries@mmsc.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you enter:
- your name, company and email address
- your phone number and location, if you provide them
- your industry, company size and timescale
- the services you're interested in, your message and your preferred contact method
The 60-second health check and the interactive walk-through run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, unless you choose to send an enquiry that includes your health check score.
How we use it
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, discuss how we can help and, if you go ahead, to arrange our services. We do not sell your information, and we won't send you marketing unless you've asked us to.
Our lawful bases under UK data protection law are that it's necessary to take steps you've asked for before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our business.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives enquiry form submissions on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States, so your information may be processed there, under safeguards recognised by UK law.
- Our email provider delivers and stores the emails we exchange with you.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr supply the fonts and some code this website uses. When the page loads, your browser connects to them, which shares your IP address with them.
Cookies
We don't use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising on this website.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you don't become a client, we delete them within 12 months. If you do become a client, we keep them for as long as we work together and as required afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email enquiries@mmsc.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
